I spent the afternoon at luxury day spa Casa Di Natura.

A natural amphitheatre, surrounded by 3.2ha of forest, the trill of birds and roar of the waterfall are the only real distractions here.

Casa Di Natura is a very private retreat. Guests have exclusive use of the entire spa, regardless of whether you book as an individual, a couple or a group of friends.

A chemical free hydrotherapy spa and magnesium swimming pool makes the most of the sun and lush forest backdrop. The rainwater-filled pool has the benefit of added magnesium and potassium chloride and a water feature falls across the water, creating negative ions.

According to owner and practitioner Sue Broughton, the negative ions amplify the healing benefits of the magnesium, which is great for depression, skin conditions and muscular aches and pains.

On the massage table Sue tucked me in towels while she worked her cross muscle magic on my back.
